May Birchbox

Another great box from Birchbox this month! It was another 'choose your product' box, and you could select a Spectrum pink or purple beauty blender sponge - I went for the purple one, these sponges are great for applying foundation and cream products and give a really flawless finish, so I was glad to get another as mine is getting a bit worn now!

I'm also excited to try the Ole Henriksen wipes as I've been hearing great reviews of these for a while now from other bloggers and you tubers. I think I might save them for my holiday though as they're in a handy travel-sized pack!

I also got a mascara from eyeko - I've tried eyeliners from eyeko before but not their mascara so I'm excited to try this out!

The puriskin resurfacing formula is a treatment for acne, age spots, scars, stretch marks, razor burns, bruises and cracks - this sounds like a great product to have incase of any injuries or breakouts! I'll definitely be giving this a go as I'm always injuring myself accidentally!!

I also received the Philip Kingsley polishing balm for frizzy hair which is perfect for me as that's my hair type! I've tried Philip Kingsley products before and have always been really impressed so I'm excited to try this one too!

Last but not least is a mini perfume sample (this was an extra and I'm glad it's not classed as a main product) from Givenchy. It's a really fruity and fresh scent thats quite summery - I really like it!

I'd definitely recommend subscribing to Birchbox if you like trying new products!

Charli XCX for boohoo

Charli XCX for boohoo

Boohoo have just launched a new collection with Charli XCX and here are my favourite pieces!
The whole collection is really affordable and there's some great pieces, especially for going out/holidays! You can shop the collection here
I really love boohoo as they always have a great selection of on-trend items at affordable prices. I recently got a few bodysuits from boohoo which you might have seen in some of my recent outfit posts, I'm hoping to get more outfit posts up soon, but as I explained last week, I'm really busy right now! I hope you're all having a great weekend! x

Port Sunlight

Jacket by Toxik3 (from TK Maxx)

Brandy Melville t-shirt

Louis Vuitton Speedy 30

Yesterday I took my mum to a craft show in Port Sunlight and wasn't planning on taking any outfit photos, but it was such a nice location and a lovely sunny day, so here's my outfit! I haven't blogged regularly recently as I've had a lot on at work and am approaching my masters degree deadline, so please bear with me until I get back on track!

Anyway, this jacket was a bargain find for only £16.99 in TK Maxx, I've never heard of the brand but I really loved the style and fit of this jacket, and I'm drawn to anything metallic. The rest of the outfit is really simple, and is my go-to casual kind of outfit! I've been using my LV speedy 30 a lot recently too - I really do love Louis Vuitton bags as they never go out of style.

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

Spring JustFabUK Shoe Haul

Hi everyone! Hope you've all had a lovely bank holiday weekend! Sorry there hasn't been many posts recently - I've been really busy with uni & work but hopefully will be back to normal soon! Anyway, here is a haul of some JustFab UK shoes - I've mentioned before that I'm a brand ambassador for them, and I finally spent some of my credits and got some new shoes for Spring/Summer!

Navy.

This is another variant of my new favourite outfit: body, skirt & trainers. I just find it comfortable and flattering. I really like my Stan Smith trainers as they're so comfortable and go with everything, although I do like pairing them with Navy outfits to pick out the details. This boohoo bodysuit is from the tall range, and is just a simple long sleeve basic one. It's only £10 and comes in other colours too!

Wednesday 20 April 2016

Black body

Nike Air Max trainers

Another bodysuit and skirt combo as I'm just loving them right now! I love the detailing on this bodysuit from boohoo and it's such a soft fabric. I paired it with my denim skirt from Missguided via ASOS, which I've been wearing a lot recently, and also these new Air Max trainers that I got from the Nike outlet for just £30!

Tuesday 19 April 2016

Sun, Moon and Stars

This top is another new one from my recent Boohoo order and I really like the sleeve detail. I've been wearing a lot of more fitted things recently but I just really liked this top as it's comfortable and a bit different from my other long sleeve t shirts. I paired it with my Missguided faux leather skirt and my new favourite lace-up flats from TK Maxx.

Trainers Collection & Fashion Haul

Hi everyone! Sorry I've not got around to posting these videos sooner - it's been a hectic couple of weeks! Anyway here is a Fashion haul from ASOS, River Island, Missguided and Primark, and my Trainers Collection - hope you enjoy them and that you've all had a great weekend! x

Saturday 16 April 2016

Spring shirt.

I ordered quite a few new things from boohoo recently as I had a £10 blogger voucher and also they were doing 15% student discount with unidays, so of course I had to order some goodies! I saw this shirt in Lauren Wander's vlog and instantly put it on my boohoo wishlist! It's really soft and loose fitting so is super comfortable. It was only £18 and I really love it. I paired this shirt with my Daisy street mini skirt from ASOS (another bargain) and my new lace-up leather flats which I found in TK Maxx!

April Birchbox

This month's Birchbox is a lovely floral-themed box in collaboration with Rifle Paper Co, and has some great products in!

You could upgrade your box this month by paying £4 extra to get the Moss Garden Notebook set from the Rifle Paper Co (worth £12), and seeing as I love notebooks I thought I'd get them. They're amazing quality and are really beautiful designs.

The actual products are a great selection too - two makeup, one skincare, one haircare and one body product.

I've already tried the Balance me tinted wonder eye cream as I was so excited to give it a go. It's basically an eye cream and under eye concealer in one and I'm really impressed with it! It basically cuts out a step in my makeup routine so will be perfect for days when I'm in a rush!

Another new makeup product is the Benefit Dew The Hoola which is a liquid bronzer. I haven't tried this yet, but I like the powder hoola so I'm excited to try it out.

I also got a Parlor leave-in conditioner, which is a bit weird as I've been looking for a new leave in conditioner for a while but there doesn't seem to be many available at the moment (they literally didn't have any in my local boots and superdrug!) so of course I was really pleased to get this in my Birchbox this month.

The two least-exciting samples for me were the Cynthia Rowley eyeliner (which I will use but I already have a few black pencils) and the Foot care cream (but I probably should start attending to my feet ready for sandal season!!)

I really do enjoy my Birchbox subscription, and I'd definitely recommend it if you're not already subscribed!

Tuesday 12 April 2016

Black lace-up.

Primark shoes

Another denim skirt outfit - this time paired with my favourite lace-up jumper from Missguided as it's still a bit chilly! I added my Primark lace-up flats to match the detailing on the jumper for a simple everyday outfit.

Saturday 9 April 2016

Double denim.

I've been wanting to try out a bodysuit for ages, and I really like this one from River Island. The skirt is also new and I'll be showing both pieces in my fashion haul tomorrow along with these new Adidas trainers! I really like this outfit - it's so different for me, but I like the look of the double denim, and dressing down the look with trainers.

Wednesday 6 April 2016

Stripe shirt.

A pretty simple outfit but I love this shirt I got from Miss Selfridge last week. As I said in my last post, I've been trying to update my wardrobe a bit and I really like this shirt as it's pretty versatile but is soft and comfortable. In this outfit I just wore it with jeans & converse.

Fitness Haul - Gymshark & Adidas

Hi everyone - I hope you've had a good week! Here is a little haul video of some fitness items I've bought recently - next week's video will be a fashion haul and I have some outfit posts already scheduled for this week with some new things I've bought! x

Birchbox at Selfridges

You all know I'm a big fan of getting my Birchbox every month, and I've been wanting to get the Selfridges version since it launched last year in London. The Birchbox pop-up finally came to Manchester so I managed to go and make my own Birchbox!

The pop up is currently at The Trafford Centre and you can choose 6 products to make your own box for £15. The selection of products is really good and I managed to get some of my favourite products and some new ones to try!

I picked up the Caudalie vinoperfect serum as I've tried it before in a Birchbox and really loved it! I've also tried the Rituals shower gel before but in a different scent, so thought I'd give this one a try as I loved the formula! I couldn't resist a Laura Mercier lip gloss either - I love getting high end makeup products in my box, and this is in the shade Nectar - a lovely coral shade for spring (although it looks more red in the picture)

I'm really into doing my brows at the moment, so picked up a brow pencil to try in the lightest shade (you could choose your own shade!). I also went for the deep sleep + pillow spray as I like the original and have been struggling sleeping recently because of my cold :(

I also picked up a prep and protect spray for my hair, as again I've tried it before and really liked it!

I think the Birchbox at Selfridges is a really good idea - especially if you want to try Birchbox without committing to a subscription! I loved choosing my own products too as you can make sure you don't get anything you won't use. I'd love to see Birchbox pop-ups more and be able to create different boxes - but if you can't get to one, you can pick up the products or a Birchbox subscription online here!

March Favourites & Mini Haul

Hi everyone - hope you all had a lovely Easter! I've been absolutely full of a cold and feeling ill! :( Anyway, here are my March favourites and a little haul of some bits I've bought recently - it's quite a varied mix so I hope you enjoy it!

Spring Outfit Inspiration

Apologies that it's been 2 similar posts in a row - there'll be some outfits coming next week - I've just been really busy!!
Anyway, today I'm sharing a Spring outfit idea from boohoo.com! I'm still loving my bargain khaki bomber from Boohoo, so thought I'd create an outfit around their new badge bomber! I've included my staple black skinny jeans, a monochrome shirt and some classic Chanel-style espadrilles (that are a fraction of the price!)
I hope you're all having a great Easter weekend - I'll have a new video up tomorrow too! x

March Pay-Day Wishlist

A little pay-day wishlist post of some things I'm currently wanting. It's all gym/casual wear stuff but everything is linked below! x
Adidas stan smith  & Adidas superstar    (I can't decide which I like more!)

March Birchbox

Another month, another Birchbox. I really like Birchbox (as I've said loads of time) so I thought I'd share what I got in mine this month!

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray - I've tried this and used it before and I really like it. It's great if you struggle to get to sleep as it's a relaxing scent. I also like it if I'm feeling a bit ill.

Arrow Boost Color Enhancing lip balm - I love trying out new lip balms and this is a full size sample worth £11. It has a lovely mint scent and feels really moisturising on the lips. I like this for natural makeup days.

Model Co More Brows - I really like using brow mascaras and normally just stick to the maybelline one so I'm excited to try out something different. This is also full size too - worth £13!  I have the lightest shade which is perfect for me - make sure you do set your preferences if you sign up to Birchbox so that you get the right shades in products!

Hydraluron moisture boosting mask - I've never tried anything from Hydraluron even though they're a pretty popular brand in the blogging world. I'm excited to give this a go next time I'm having a bit of a relax!

Number 4 Blow dry lotion - I've tried products from number 4 before and have really liked them so I'm excited to try this blow dry lotion. I'm also a big fan of leave-in treatments so was happy to get this in my box!

Amika Nourishing mask - A sample of an intense hair mask t help with split ends, dryness and repair damage. This sounds amazing to me as I have quite dry hair (although it's in a lot better condition than it was!)

So that's everything in my Birchbox this month - I do think it's really good value and a good way to try new products. I'm also saving some of the minis now for my holiday!

Fitness Haul

Hi everyone - sorry that there hasn't been any posts or videos this week - I've had such a stressful week and literally just haven't had time or motivation for anything. I will be posting again this week, but it may be a little while before my schedule is back to normal - make sure you're following me so that you don't miss any posts!

Anyway, this is a fitness haul I uploaded last week - I've been really getting into the gym recently (it's great for de-stressing) and I bought a few things to wear so thought I'd do a haul!

I hope you've all had a good week! x

Still Winter

Jack Wills boots

It's still really cold - only last week we were snowed in - in March! Winter fashion is definitely my favourite though, and this jumper is super soft and warm. I picked it up in this colour and cream as both were on offer at £7 each in store a few weeks ago when I got them. the rest of the outfit is really simple and standard for me, although I've not worn my Charlotte Simone scarves for a couple of weeks!

Casual Weekend Outfit

Sweaty Betty jumper
Primark cami
Louis Vuitton bag

I treated myself to a more luxury sweatshirt in the Sweaty Betty sale last week. I'd had my eye on it for a while, and seeing as I've been going to the gym a lot recently, I thought I'd get it. It's beautifully soft and cosy and I really love it. It was expensive, but I'm glad I managed to get it for half price! This is just a casual outfit I wore last weekend!

Tuesday 8 March 2016

Ribbed sweatshirt.

Miss Selfridge boots (no longer available online)

Don't be fooled - it's not actually warm enough to not wear a coat out - I was just doing a few outfit pictures in one day and wanted to show this gorgeous rib panelled top without covering it with a jacket! I really love the fit & style of this top, and it's such an easy outfit with jeans and boots!

iPhone 6s+ review

I upgraded my phone a couple of months ago, so I thought I'd do a little review & what's on my iPhone post incase any of you are thinking about upgrading to the iPhone 6s+.

I was undecided for a while whether to go for the 6s or  the 6s+ but I decided on the bigger one after thinking about what I use my phone for the most: photos, emails, social media.

Pros
Large screen is great for photo editing, web browsing, social media, youtube and emails.
Screen is a lot clearer than the previous 5s I had
Speakers are improved
I love the rose gold colour I chose
I went for the 64GB meaning I have loads more space

Cons
The off/on button is on the side which is really irritating. I find I catch it all the time especially when altering the volume which is on the opposite side. (I think this is the same for the 6s)
It's too big to fit in most pockets
It's a little awkward to use at the gym for music as its so big, so I did invest in a specific arm band thing from Amazon.
It's difficult to find nice cases that fit properly. I ordered a skinny-dip one which was lovely, but didn't quite fit properly over the buttons, so I just have a plain clear one on at the moment.

Overall Thoughts
I really love this phone, and once you get used to the larger size, it's so much nicer to use. I found it a little awkward at first, but now I find the normal size far too small!!

Apps
I don't have loads of apps, but I thought I'd share some of my favourites in this post

My Fitness Pal - I use this to track calories instead of my old fashioned writing it down in the notes and it's so much easier! I also track my exercise at the gym using this, and my weight.

VSCO - This is what I use to edit my instagram pictures and apply my filter 'theme'. If you don't follow me on instagram, you can see my profile and theme here. I just like the look of an instagram theme, and it makes editing photos easier as you can just copy and paste the edits.

Face tune - I don't use this to airbrush selfies, just make whites whiter and smooth any parts of the photo that don't look right. I tend to only use this for selfies, pics of my dog and things with a lot of white that I want to bring out. (Also, mine always has 18 notifications which I can't get rid of and are really irritating!!)

Spotify
I actually got Spotify premium in with my contract, which was great! I use this to listen to music as it takes up less space than iTunes, and you can also listen offline which is perfect for the gym.

Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Natwest/Paypal - pretty self explanatory!!

Unidays - great for student discounts!

Harvey Nichols Rewards, Starbucks Rewards - I love a good rewards program, and both are completely free and don't require you to do anything as you just set up an account and purchases/points are automatically added, or you can scan receipts.

Netflix - I love netflix, I usually watch it on a bigger screen but have it on my phone as I use it sometimes. I had a trial of Now TV which was good for The Walking Dead, but I didn't sign up as there wasn't any other programmes on that I wanted to watch!

Wordpress - good for checking blog stats and comments

ASOS - for addictive browsing!

So that's a little overview of my phone - I hope some of you found it useful! If you'd be interested in a video to go through my apps, or a similar post with my iPad mini 4 then do let me know!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
