Autumn Gilet & Haul

Jack Wills Gilet
Zara t-shirt (old)  (similar here)
The Great Frog rings
Clarks boots

The wind was really against me yesterday when I took these outfit pictures! This was a casual 'everyday' outfit for meeting friends and doing a couple of errands! I picked up this gilet from the Jack Wills outlet at Cheshire Oaks, it's super warm and cosy, and it adds a bit of colour to my wardrobe! The rest of the outfit is my usual stripe top, jeans and boots! I have added this on-trend pom pom to my favourite Givenchy bag though - it adds a little more colour!

Also, here is Thursday's video:
I'm sorry I haven't shared it before now - I've been super busy even though I thought I'd have more time this week!

Happy Halloween too!

Button front skirt.

Primark jumper
Topshop Boots
Warehouse belt

I've been wanting one of these button front skirts for ages now, but hadn't found one that fit right. I picked up this one from Next as it fits so well, and is also a good length. I don't usually shop at next but I was just walking through and saw this! It was only £20 which I think is pretty cheap as this skirt is really lovely. I'm so happy with it! I wore it with a Primark jumper (tucked in), a little belt and my Topshop boots.  I also added this little warehouse belt that I picked up from Selfridges in the sale for £5!

Rust hat.

Primark top
Primark necklace

I very rarely wear skirts, but I found this one in H&M that I really like, and I'm actually getting more into skirts and dresses recently - I'm usually such a jeans person! I styled it really simply with an all-black outfit, my trusty Vagabond boots (I wear these for work all the time as they're so comfortable) and my new M&S hat for a pop of colour.

What's in my Makeup bag?

This is yesterday's video - a what's in my makeup bag, which is basically the everyday makeup that I'm currently using. You may also notice a bit of a hair change in this video - I explain it at the start but will do a video/post on it when it's toned and everything. Anyway - I hope you enjoy the video, and that you all had a great weekend!

Long Boots | Shoes lookbook

Hi everyone - hope you've all had a great week! This was Thursday's video but I've only just got around to sharing it with you - it's a shoe lookbook of long boots - hope you like it!

Jewellery Maker beaded bangle kit.

You may remember if you've followed me for a while that I did a post about Jewellery maker a few months ago. It's a TV channel for jewellery making, but they have a great range of project kits available that are perfect for beginners and gifts. The Jewellery Maker team kindly sent me one of their beaded bangle kits to review. I chose the black beaded bangle as it will fit in well with my style.

The kits are all around the £10 mark, and come with everything you need to make the bracelet including full instructions with pictures. The only other tool you will need is some pliers (mine are a set of round nose, flat nose and wire cutters that I've had for ages). For this particular kit you only need flat nose pliers and wire cutters.

The bangle was really easy to make, and the finished result is very professional. The materials are really good quality and the finished bangle is quite heavy and looks expensive. The technique to make it is very simple - you just wrap wire around the two bangles and thread the beads on, wrap the wire and continue. It was a little fiddly to get the first couple of beads on, but after that it was really simple.

It took me about an hour to make the bangle and I'd say this was a good beginner project. I think these little kits would be a great gift idea as they're affordable and you could either give the kit as a gift, or the finished jewellery.

If you are a beginner, Jewellery Maker have loads of video tutorials on their website which are really helpful! If you're interested in having a go at jewellery making, I'd recommend trying out a kit, as they're affordable, easy to make and the finished products are really professional. It's also not a lot to spend to have a go at Jewellery making, and the kits don't take very long to make!

I hope you enjoyed this post, and thank you to Jewellery Maker for sending me the kit to review.

Autumn denim.

I'm still loving my Topshop denim dress and as I hadn't worn it for a while I decided to get it out again last weekend. This outfit was what I wore on Saturday for coffee and shopping (still obsessed with the pumpkin spice latte!). I paired the dress with this Monki top that I showed in an ASOS haul a few weeks ago which I really like, and my new River Island coat & boots. I really liked this outfit, and I'm really getting into skirts and dresses recently!

October Birchbox

I've been doing Birchbox videos for the last couple of months - but I thought I'd do a blog post for October's box. If you've followed me for any length of time you'll already know that I love getting my Birchbox each month and you always get really great products!

This month was another choose your box - I went for the Stylist Guest editor box as I liked the look of the 100% pure fruit pigmented lip glaze and the Rituals Yogi flow shower gel. The shade of the lip glaze I received is Rosehip which is a lovely dark pink shade, it's very moisturising though so I'd recommend using a lip liner with it!
The rituals shower gel is Indian rose & sweet almond oil scented and smells amazing! I love getting samples of luxury shower gels!

The mini Bioderma is so cute! I already own and use Bioderma, so I'm going to be saving this handy little travel size incase I go away sometime!

I also received the Parlor smoothing blowout spray - a frizz fighting, heat protecting and styling spray that sounds like it'll be really good - I haven't tried it yet! A little extra this month is the English laundry no.7 fragrance sample, I've said before that I'm not too keen on fragrance samples, but when it's an extra I don't mind!

The final product is a When travel mate sheet mask which is a moisturising mask intended for use when travelling and is supposed to lock in moisture. I've never actually used a sheet mask before so I'm excited to give this one a go!

Another great box this month - I do like it when you get to choose some products yourself!

Autumn Florals.

I showed this dress in a haul video a few weeks ago, but haven't worn it until now as I was waiting to get some OTK boots to wear with it, as I just really like the look of Autumn dresses with long boots. I can't believe this dress is only £9.99 either! I won't ramble again about how much I like this dress & these boots - but I'm obsessed with them! haha! I hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

Navy & Black.

Whistles Dress
Primark hat

I love these new boots from River Island! They've made them in a wide leg version this season which is perfect for me as I unfortunately struggle a lot with boots. I'm so pleased that I got these as they're perfect for autumn/winter to wear with dresses and jumper dresses. They also fit over jeans which makes them even more versatile! I also managed to get them when RI had their student discount event, but I've got my eye on the grey version now too!
My dress is from Whistles, and I actually got it in the sale back in the summer, but haven't worn it yet as it's been to warm up to now. It's really simple, but as always with Whistles, great quality and easy to wear.
I added my Primark hat for a touch of boho-chic, and I think it just completes the outfit!

Cosy jumper dress.

Rings: The Great Frog

I'm loving long boots right now, especially paired with jumper dresses - they're perfect for Autumn! This jumper from missguided is super soft, warm and cosy and I know it'll be the perfect thing for Winter, I couldn't wait to share it though, even though it's still a tad too warm somedays! My boots are from JustFab UK and are so on-trend right now. I like the faux suede material, and the subtle detailing, but most importantly, these boots come in wide calf fit - perfect if you struggle with 'regular' fitting long boots like me!

Haul | Missguided, River Island & Whistles

I hope you've all had a great weekend! Here is today's video - a collective haul from Missguided, River Island and Whistles as they all had discounts going on last week so I had to take advantage of them!

Saturday 10 October 2015

Cosy shearling.

H&M stripe top
Primark boots
I'm loving the shearling trend for this season, and my new Missguided jacket which is a faux-suede and shearling jacket. The quality is amazing and it doesn't look faux at all. It wasn't expensive either, and the waterfall style is something a bit different for me. I paired it with a simple jeans and striped-tee outfit, and then added some tan boots from Primark to bring the look together.

Going back to Blonde hair at home

Here is yesterday's video: a hair chat on going back blonde at home. I've linked all the products I mention in the description box of the video here. I'm not a hairdresser, so it's more of a 'hair chat' rather than an instructional/tutorial video. Anyway, I hope that some of you find it useful, and please subscribe to my YouTube channel if you're not already! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Verity

Primark jumper
Clarks boots

Last weeks Grazia magazine came with 25% off Whistles, which of course I had to make use of. I'd been thinking about a backpack for a while now, and have had my eye on a couple of the MCM and Marc Jacobs ones, but I don't know how much I'll use a backpack, so when I saw this Whistles one, I decided to get it. It's real leather and great quality, but isn't as expensive as the designer options. It's not super-affordable, but I'm fussy about bags! The rest of the outfit is really simple, and all items I've shown before in hauls and other posts - I really like how this outfit came together though - minimal but still interesting - I'm loving long boots right now too!

Tuesday 6 October 2015

Black hat.

Primark hat
Primark jumper
Topshop boots

Apologies that the lighting is a bit off in these photos, I was really short on time at the weekend so had to do these photos at night when the light had gone a little bit. Anyway - I really like this new hat from Primark, and I'm excited to wear it more now the weather has cooled down in the UK. The rest of the outfit is really simple. I showed this jumper in a Primark haul a while ago - it's really soft and cosy and is perfect for Autumn and Winter.

September Favourites 2015

September is over, and it's time to share my favourites. This month's favourites video is a mixture of fashion, beauty and lifestyle, and I hope you've all had a good weekend - mine has been so short because I started my Masters degree yesterday!

Saturday 3 October 2015

Black & brown

Karl Lagerfeld t-shirt
Primark boots
Rings: Vintage & The Great Frog

I love this coat I got from River Island! It's really different to anything else I have, and I especially love the warm furry lining. The faux fur collar is detachable, which is something else I really like, as I'm not always in the mood for faux fur! I'm also wearing my new Karl Lagerfeld t-shirt that I found in the TK Maxx clearance for just £15! And of course the standard joni jeans, and my Primark boots to go with the brown faux fur.

Beauty Haul | Space NK, Harvey Nichols, Lush & Boots

I'm back again with another haul - this is yesterday's video so I know some of you have seen it already, but I was so busy working yesterday that I didn't get around to sharing it with you all! I hope you enjoy seeing the products that I've bought recently. Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
