Liz Earle Limited Edition Orange Flower & Chamomile Hot Cloth Cleanser

I've been using the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish for years now, and I always go back to it even when I try other things! I picked up this limited edition Orange Flower and Chamomile scent a few months ago for the first time, and seeing as I've just purchased another 3 backups, I thought I'd better mention it!

The only difference I've found with this Cleanse & Polish is the scent, this one is slightly more scented and has a fresh scent, which I prefer to the original.  The cleanser itself works exactly the same, I just prefer the scent of this one.

The packaging is also slightly different, which I think makes a nice change to the original mint green packaging, and the flowers on the bottle make it a bit more exciting.

I wasn't sure about the scent at first, but it really grew on me as I used it. When I went back to my original version, I really didn't like it as much, which is why I went and purchased some back ups. I don't know how 'limited edition' it is, but I presume it won't be around forever.

So if you didn't like the original scent, or are a loyal Cleanse and Polish user fancying a change, I'd highly recommend this version. It's also exactly the same price, and still comes with the muslin cloths.

I'm sure you all know about the Cleanse & Polish, as I think most bloggers have reviewed it at some point, but if not: it's an amazing cleanser that effectively cleanses the skin without stripping or irritating it. It's perfect for sensitive skin, and is great for acne prone skin too. My mum also uses it and loves it too! It's also quite affordable and has no 'bad' ingredients, and is generally a great cleanser. It also works really well with the clarisonic.

Hope you're all having a lovely day, if you didn't see it yesterday, be sure to watch my new video! xx

I finally have a new video for you! It's an Autumn Makeup video featuring some of my favourite products of the moment! It took me ages to film and edit, but I'm really pleased with how it turned out! I've also been having laptop problems which is why there hasn't been much happening over the last few days! Hopefully we should be okay now!
If you haven't already, please make my day and subscribe to my Youtube channel and give the video a thumbs up!
Hope you're all having a lovely week! xx

Mini Lush Haul | Festive edition

There are so many Lush hauls going up at the moment, but I didn't think my three little purchases warranted a video of their own! Fear not, I have lots of festive videos coming your way nearer the time, and no doubt there'll be a lush haul!

Anyway, I picked up three bath bombs. I love the Lush bath bombs and have just used up my last one from last year's boxing day spree (I'd highly recommend a lush boxing day shop- everything is half price and you can then have all the limited edition products all year round!)

The first bath bomb is the Melting Snowman, which I've used before. He smells lovely (not too sweet) and is quite a moisturising bath bomb. I love how cute he is, and his eyes and buttons are made of chocolate. It does melt in the bath, but don't taste it, it's mixed with soap (I've tried it) and doesn't taste as good as it looks and smells. I've linked him above so that you can see the 'proper' description. I'd highly recommend this one though, I always buy at least 2 every festive season!

I also picked up the Candy Mountain bubble bar. This smells like Snow Fairy (one of the best shower gels of all time!), so if you like your sweet treats and bubbles, you need this! It's also one of the cheaper bath bombs, and you can stretch it out and use it over 2-3 baths if you want to. (It's nice to have the whole thing as a treat though!) It also turns the water pink!

Last but not least is the Wizard Bubble bar, which is a Halloween bath bomb. He just looked so cute, and I wanted to try out a new bubble bar. If you didn't know already, my dog Noopy loves to play with the bubbles in the bath, which is why I usually go for bubble bars! He's a little more expensive than Candy Mountain, but he smells lovely, and I can't wait to use him. I love the design too!

The links above are to the Lush website, where you can see each bath bomb in action!
There's loads of amazing Halloween and Christmas products that I want to try, so I'm sure I'll be doing another Festive Lush haul soon!

Hope you're all having a lovely week so far! xx

Essentiel Elements Spa Treatment Collection

Essentiel Elements Spa Treatment Collection Travel Set*

I always love trying new products, and these Essentiel Elements Spa Treatment products are from Gilchrist & Soames. I've tried a few of their other products before in Birchboxes and have always really enjoyed them. Gilchrist & Soames are a bath, body and spa company with lots of different ranges and collections. I've recently been trying out this collection, and have been really impressed with the products.

First of all, the hair products. Now as you may already know, I hate washing my hair as it's so knotty and difficult to manage. I'm also not used to natural products, as they don't make much of a lather. When I used the shampoo and conditioner together my hair felt so clean and soft, and actually looked healthier. The scent is rosemary and peppermint and is really refreshing, although it's subtle (great for those of you who don't like heavy scents. The 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner is great if you want that '2nd day hair' straight away, or if you're short on time or feeling lazy! For me, as I have thick, knotty, bleached hair, I did still need to use a conditioner but I find that with all shampoos and 2-in-1 products. If my hair is feeling really dry, a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner is gentler than a shampoo too.

The body products are of the same scent, but I found them to be more intense. The shower gel was really lovely and didn't leave my sensitive skin feeling dry or irritated. The body lotion was also really nice, and wasn't too rich so was perfect for daytime use. For my dryer areas I'd still use a body butter or shea butter formula but as a general body-lotion I really liked this.

There are also two bars of shea butter soap. I normally hate soap as I find it so drying, but these shea butter ones are really nice. If you're travelling they'd be great as they're lovely to use and they're big enough to last quite a while.

If you're going on a trip anywhere, this set would be great as it has everything you'd need for hair and body, and all the products are TSA approved, so it's perfect for travel. I also think this set would make a great little stocking filler, and the subtle scent would appeal to pretty much anyone. It's also a really affordable way to try out the products before committing to the full-sized versions, as the set is only £10. (It would also make a great secret santa gift)

Hope you enjoyed this post, I do have a beauty haul video coming up as soon as it finishes processing, which includes this set and some other beauty bits, so make sure you're subscribed to my Youtube channel so you don't miss it! (I'm currently having laptop problems that's causing the upload delay!)

Hope you all have a lovely weekend! xx

*This set was sent to me for review, however I am not paid to give a good review and the link is not an affiliate link.

Current Beauty Favourites

I'm too late for a September favourites, so I thought I'd just do a quick Current Beauty favourites post to fill the gap! I've recently rediscovered a couple of things and been enjoying some new purchases so here they are:

Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita palette
I'll be honest I've not been wearing much eyeshadow at all recently, I just can't be bothered at 6am! When I have been wearing it though, I've been reaching for this palette more than anything else. It's just so beautiful and easy to work with. There's no fall-out from any of the shades either even the glitter which is really impressive. It works for day and night and I'm just obsessed with it!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude foundation
I picked this up in Boots a few weeks ago and have been using it everyday. It's a perfect medium-coverage foundation with amazing lasting power. It doesn't last 25 hours on me, but I find it lasts a good 10 or 12 with a bit of powder. It's a very natural finish, and I have the lightest shade which is a perfect match for me. I'd really recommend it and have been reaching for it much more than my usual high-end foundations recently.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer
I've used this before and repurchased it with the foundation as there was an offer on in Boots at the time. It's a great concealer and I find it to look much more natural than the collection lasting perfection one. It's really easy to apply and blend and it works really well with the foundation.

Vaseline Pink Champagne
I love the scent of this! It's not as moisturising as the NUXE Reve de miel which I usually use, but I've really been enjoying switching it up a bit recently. I bought this last year and it was limited edition but they'll probably re-release it or something similar this year. It's nice and moisturising and works well under lipgloss and things too.

Benefit They're Real liner
This is a little trial-size that I got in London when I purchased the mascara. I've only just recently opened it, so it's early days yet but it's just so easy to apply that it needed a mention! It's a gel liner in a pen-style applicator and is basically foolproof. If you're scared of eyeliner or just want something thats less faff and super quick and easy, I'd recommend trying this!

NARS Loose setting powder
I used to use this all the time with my NARS sheer glow foundation, which I haven't used in a little while, but it works so nicely with the Rimmel foundation. I just find it to be a really natural, undetectable power that just does a great job. It's a bit messy but I find the loose powder just blends a bit more evenly and looks more natural. It does come in a pressed version, but I haven't tried that one so I can't really compare it!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend so far, I'm just waiting for my video footage to import so that I can start editing the two hauls I have coming up for you this week! xx

Autumn Weekend Outfit

Topshop Denim jacket
Boohoo cut out top
Topshop Black Joni jeans
ALDO Boots
Louis Vuitton Speedy 30

There was a sneak peek of this outfit in my last Weekend post, but here is the full thing! I couldn't wait to wear this amazing denim jacket. As I said in my other post, I regretted not getting it last year, so I took advantage of the 20% student discount and treated myself! It's really cosy and warm and has been perfect for this very cold weather we're having at the moment! I've worn it to uni today and it was so snuggly and warm!

I'm also wearing the new Black Joni jeans! These are so much nicer than my old ones, they're a really true black (my others have faded to grey) but they're still the same amazing fit. I always go back to my Joni jeans as I haven't found anything as good! They're quite expensive but I find most stretchy jeans loose their elasticity, but these bounce back after every wear and so they always fit perfectly!

I've had these Aldo boots for a couple of months now, I bought them when I was in London using my £25 Aldo Elle gift card that I had. They're really comfortable and are so easy to style. They weren't cheap but the leather is super soft and they haven't hurt my feet at all. I think these will be this year's version of my worn-to-death ankle boots.

I'm carrying my Louis Vuitton bag which I haven't stopped using since I treated myself to it at Harrods when I was in London. I really love it and it's super practical. Louis Vuitton bags are such amazing quality too and you can really tell that in real life (not so much in these photos!)

Finally my top is from boohoo.com , it's such a bargain and is a nice change from a plain tee. I find it really wearable and just easy to style. I love the cut-out detail and the colour is really lovely too. You basically can't go wrong with it! It comes in a few other colours too.

My necklace is from Astrid & Miyu and it's the wishbone one I wear loads!

Hope you've all had a lovely day! Nearly weekend now guys-hope you have a lovely one! xx

Altuzarra for Target

Altuzarra for Target Jumper
Topshop Joni jeans
JustFab Tamery flats*

These photos are from last week, I'm so sorry I haven't had chance to put them into a post earlier! Anyway, the good news is that quite a lot of the Altuzarra for Target collection is still available on Net-a-Porter (link above). Usually these high street-designer collaborations sell out really quickly, but for some reason this one's lasted a little bit longer! I saw this jumper in a magazine a few weeks ago and absolutely fell in love. I'm loving the monochrome trend at the moment, but we all know I love a good big bird (eagles, owls, pheasants etc). I'm always drawn to Bird things and this jumper just had to be mine.
The embroidery is absolutely beautiful, the quality is amazing, and you can really tell it's from a designer collection. The jumper itself is really soft and is quite lightweight so will be great for layering too. It's getting so cold now in England isn't it?

I'm also wearing my Joni jeans. (how many times have I typed that over the last year!) Anyway, you'll be pleased to know that I'm wearing my new ones now, and have retired these old ones to wearing around the house. Future outfit posts will feature the new pair! (it's taken me long enough!)

Last but not least, I'm wearing my JustFab Tamery flats. These slip-ons have been a huge trend for Spring and Summer and are staying around for Autumn and Winter. They're a great casual shoe and go with pretty much anything. I'm always wearing mine, and they're great for just slipping on when you're in a hurry. I have the black ones, but they come in some lovely prints and colours too.

I hope you're all having a great week so far! I always feel like my week is split into two as I have placement Monday-Wednesday and then uni Thursday-Friday! Nearly weekend now guys! xx

The Weekend Post #2

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend!! I'm sorry I didn't do a weekend post last week as I totally forgot about it- I've been so busy!

On Friday my grandma bought me this gorgeous cupcake and macaroons from a shop in Skiptom where she went for the day with my family (I was at uni). They were absolutely delicious!!

Saturday was spent doing work for uni which was rather boring, although I did have an exciting topshop delivery which hopefully I will be sharing with you soon. I really want to get back into making videos but it's just trying to find a time to do them!
I'm wearing my new topshop fur lined denim jacket today it's super cosy and I love it. I really regretted not buying it last year, so I had to take advantage of the 20% student discount offer this week to get it!

Today I've had a lovely day out with my mum. We went into Manchester as I had a few vouchers for different shops from magazines and things so I've been treating myself!! I will try and do a haul soon with what I've bought! I have things from Harvey Nichols, whistles, jack wills, office and the body shop so it's been a #feelingspendy kinda day!! I also picked up Alfie's book (the pointless book) which seems really fun when I've just had a flick through! I like to support fellow bloggers and bloggers even though they're already so much more established than me!

This week looks like another super busy one but I'm determined to get some more blogging done this week! I keep getting annoyed as I've been planning blogging evenings and then I end up with work to do for uni for the next day!! I'm really looking forward to half term!

Hope you all have a lovely week, and make sure to follow this blog if you haven't already! Xx

(These photos are from my Instagram so make sure you're following me there too @nellyandnoopy) x

September Birchbox

BIRCHBOX

I'm a little late with this month's Birchbox, although I'm doing better than last month! As usual I'm really impressed with the box- I honestly haven't been disappointed with any of my boxes! The theme for September is Happy Days which is nice as September seems to be the month of new starts as most of us are back to uni/work school and it kind of feels like a second January sometimes!

All subscribers received the ModelCo Lip Laquer, but Birchbox gave us the option to choose the shade. If you're subscribed to Birchbox, keep your eye on their instagram account, as that's usually where these kinds of things are announced. I chose the shade 'Viva' which is a nice pale nude-ish pink colour (the kind of shade I usually go for!). It has a gorgeous sweet scent (very similar to the Tanya Burr lip glosses), and is a very cute sample size!

I also received the Agave Healing Oil Treatment which will come in super handy as I've just gone lighter so have quite a bit of bleach in my hair now, which makes it quite dry. I love a good hair oil as I do struggle with frizz, but I end up using them on a daily basis as I have thick hair which can be quite difficult to manage. I haven't tried this one yet, but I'm excited to do!

Two skincare products in my box this month are the Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream and the Premae Mild Dermabrasion Face & Body Scrub. I do love my skincare as you probably all know, so I'm always happy to see skincare in my Birchbox, especially from some of my favourite brands. I haven't tried these two products yet, but I've tried other skincare from Premae and Benefit, which I've been really impressed with, so hopefully I'll love these products too!

I also received the Korres Citrus Showergel. I've tried the matching body lotion before as it was in a previous box, which I really liked, so I'm happy to have received the matching shower gel. Citrus scents I find are great for in the mornings as they really wake me up, which I definitely need, especially for my 6:30 starts that are way too early for me! (I'm definitely not a morning person!)

Last but not least are two lifestyle extras. I love these little extras that Birchbox add in, it's a bit like getting free gifts! The little photo clip is super cute, and I'll definitely make use of it! (there's also a full set available from the Birchbox shop)The Strawberry Urban Fruit looks good, and I'm back on my strict diet, so it'll be a better lunchbox choice than a biscuit!

I'm really impressed with the box this month, and there's nothing in there that I won't make use of, which I find to be really consistent in Birchbox!

Hope you're all having a lovely week so far! Happy October too, it's officially Fall/ Autumn! x
