My most worn jewellery.

I've never really talked about jewellery much on my blog before, and after showing you all my new ring from The Great Frog, I though it would be nice to blog about my other favourite pieces of jewellery.
Watch
This was a 21st birthday present from my grandma, and it's a Rose Gold watch from Michael Kors. Loads of people have these now, but I wear mine everyday. I like that it looks elegant, but is still chunky and modern.
Necklace
My most worn necklace has to be the wishbone necklace, which is from Astrid & Miyu. It's very dainty and simple, but I just find that it goes with everything, and I find myself reaching for it more than any of my others. This is yellow gold plated, and is really affordable.
Bracelet
I like very simple bracelets, and have a few different ones, but this one from Whistles is my favourite. It's partly a bangle, and partly a leather wrap bracelet. It's very unique and again quite subtle, but it's comfortable to wear and goes with anything.
Rings
I wear rings everyday, and I am nearly always wearing at least two of these. The plan gold V shaped one was a hand me down from my mum. It's real gold, and it's very easy to wear. Another one from my mum is my 3 diamond ring. I wear this ring every single day, and have done for years. I get loads of compliments on it, and I really love wearing it. The gold 'crown' style ring is from Whistles, and I got it when I bought the bracelet, again it's simple but I like it. My platinum ring with diamonds was a hand me down from my grandma. I don't wear this one much as it's a lot bigger than my other one, but it's really beautiful! Last but not least, my skull ring is the ghost warrior ring from The Great Frog.I'm not sure where you could find my other rings, as the Whistles one is no longer available, and I've no idea where my other ones came from, but if you're looking for similar things, I'd have a look in a jewellers or maybe a vintage jewellers.
It's quite an unusual set of jewellery, but these are just my favourites (not my entire collection), and you can probably tell, I like mixing metals! I also like mixing daintier pieces with heavier ones, but it's all usually dependant on my mood, and what I'm wearing or doing that day!
I hope that some of you may have found this interesting or useful! Have a lovely day! x

The Netflix Tag.

I've just re-subscribed to Netflix, and Jess from jesmgia.blogspot.co.uk tagged me to do the Netflix Tag, so I just had to dedicate a post to what I watch on Netflix!
All Time Faves
I'll start with the obvious one: Orange is the New Black, totally addictive and season 3 really needs to hurry up! I put off watching it for ages because it didn't sound like my cup of tea at all, but I watched one episode and was addicted after that! It's just a really good series! I also love Pretty Little Liars (which is now on Netflix!), The Vampire Diaries #delena , Gossip Girl (all 6 seasons are on there), Orphan Black, and the film LOL. I'm not sure why I like LOL so much, I must have seen it about 20 times but I just never get bored of it!
Current Addiction
Seeing as I've only just re-subscribed (I cancelled because of a lack of wi-fi speed at home, which I now have sorted) I'm catching up with PLL season 5. I'm always working or blogging so I haven't watched any TV properly since about September, so I've got a lot of catching up to do! I also want to watch American Horror Story season 2 and 3!
Wish List
Orphan Black season 2, seriously, this needs to be on there! I'd also like to see the Jane Eyre 2006 TV series back on, as it used to be on there and I'm not sure why it's been taken off, but it's my favourite thing ever. Also Downton Abbey could do with being on Netflix as itv player's adverts are annoying! Also I wish the Harry Potter films were on Netflix, as I really want to watch them all in order!
Net peeve
Basically when you run out of episodes to watch, which brings me back to, where is Orphan Black season 2?
Marathon Essentials
Good wifi, somewhere to sit comfortably/ bed, a brew (tea, coffee, hot chocolate), and some nibbles if you're feeling naughty! I used to watch netflix whilst eating my meals when I was at uni.
You should watch
Orange is the New Black, Orphan Black, Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl and American Horror Story

Thankyou so much to Jess for tagging me! I tag Beauty ClassyfiedThe Perks of Meg, and Beauty By Alice
What do you like to watch on Netflix?

Winter Boots Lookbook

Hello everyone!

I filmed this video in last week's snow, and it just so happens that it's snowed again today! I decided to create a mini lookbook, after a few requests for shorter videos and more lookbooks! I really hope that you enjoy it, and don't forget to subscribe so that you don't miss my new video on Sunday which will be my January Favourites!

xx

p.s The Timberland and Doc Marten boots are brilliant in the snow as the grips on them are really good!

My new ring.

I'd never really heard of The Great Frog until I saw a couple of bloggers wearing their rings a few months ago. I had a look at their website and absolutely loved their designs. I've been thinking about adding to my ring collection for a while now, but haven't found anything that I really loved. I've now got quite a long wish list for The Great Frog, as I'm super pleased with my first purchase.
After debating for weeks on which ring to get, I finally went for the Ghost Warrior ring. All the jewellery is hand made from 925 silver and is really high quality, which also means that they aren't cheap. Saying that, they're much more affordable than some other jewellery, and to be honest, I'd rather have a few pieces of jewellery that I really love, than several lower quality pieces.
I used the Great Frog's online ring sizer, as I don't live anywhere near London, (LA or New York) although I do plan on visiting their shop next time I am in London. My ring is the perfect size for me, but I love that they offer a free resize if it doesn't fit you. They also have a massive range of ring sizes available.
As for the ring, it's really comfortable to wear. I was worried it might be a little heavy, but it isn't too heavy (but not too light that it doesn't feel substantial, if you get me?)
The jewellery isn't for everyone, but I'm so in love with my new ring, and am already thinking about what to save up for next!
A little note about the service too. Their packaging is lovely, and if the ring is in stock they post it next day before 1pm, which is really good, as let's face it, once you've ordered something, you want it now!!
If you want to know more about my jewellery, I have another post coming on Saturday of my most worn jewellery. I'm also thinking of putting together a Great Frog wish list, so let me know if you'd be interested in that!
Hope you're all having a lovely day! x

Breakfast at Benedict's

I had a bit of a change today, and went out for breakfast with friends at Benedict's of Whalley. It's a little cafe, restaurant and deli in a little place called Whalley, which is sort of a half way meeting place for me and our friends. I know that for most of you, it won't be anywhere near you, but I've been thinking about doing some more lifestyle posts, so I thought it was a good place to start. The other thing is, is that I took these photos with my iPhone, (so they aren't my usual quality) as that was what I had with me!
We had a lovely catchup over lattes and breakfast. I had the porridge with honey which was absolutely delicious. All of the food is made from good (good quality, and good for you) ingredients, and they have lots of healthy options. I think next time I go, I might try out their lunch menu, as everything looked really nice!
Do let me know if you'd like to see more lifestyle posts in the future! And also, I still haven't decided whether to move to blogger or not, and am currently double posting everything on here and wordpress, so please let me know which platform you prefer!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend, I'll have a brand new YouTube video up tomorrow morning, so I hope that you'll enjoy that too! xx

Red Carpet Manicure Tutorial

I picked up the Red Carpet Manicure kit from Sallys during their Black Friday sale, but it ended up on back order, and I didn't get it until towards the end of December. I've tried it out twice now, and filmed this video the second time. My polish has just actually chipped today (I've had it on exactly three weeks) so it's incredibly long lasting!

The video isn't sponsored or anything, I just thought that some of you might be interested in it!

As always, please give the video a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel if you haven't done already!

Also, if you missed my TK Maxx haul video, I'll pop that below too!

Hope you're all having a great week so far!

January Birchbox

As January is the month of new year's resolutions, with the majority of them being health and fitness relate, Birchbox this month have teamed up with Women's health magazine, and this month's box is all health themes!

Of course, if you've been here for a while, you'll already know I love Birchbox. But if you're new (hey! so pleased to have you!) you might not already know this. This month has a great selection of products, including a Stila lip glaze, which is a product I already love, but thankfully didn't already have this particular shade! It also contains a Heal Gel, which is a fantastic little healing balm. I had a really sore abscess on my face over the weekend (tmi I know), but this gel really helped to soothe and heal it, so I'm already really impressed with that. It also contains Caudalie Vinoperfect serum, which I've tried before and really liked, Philip Kingsley Body building conditioner, which I'm excited to try, Activbod cooling finish body lotion, which I think I'll be using in summer, when hopefully I'll have time to get back to the gym, and a sample of matcha powder, which I've always wanted to try. I really want to get into eating a bit healthier, so am going to look for some smoothie recipes or something to use this in.

The box also came with a pilates band, which is useful for at home workouts, which I will probably test out when I'm not either working, blogging or exhausted!

Overall, I'm really impressed with this month's box, and it's a great theme for January, so well done Birchbox, another great month.

You can get the products here, or click the banner below.

In other good news, my wifi is back, which means that my blogging schedule is unaffected! yayy! :) x BIRCHBOX UK

Mini Lookbook | Nelly&Noopy

Hey!

Here's my new video, it's a lookbook video featuring some items from my recent hauls! I really hope you enjoy it, it took me ages to film!

I will be doing more lookbooks so do let me know your thoughts!

I'm currently without internet at home, so am in the uni library this morning blogging and uploading! Please forgive me if the schedule is slightly off and I'm not on social media as much, I'm hoping I'll have my internet back on monday!

Hope you all have an amazing weekend guys!

New blog post tomorrow, and new video on Sunday so please subscribe to my channel and follow my blog so that you don't miss them! xx

The Origins Wonder duo

If you've been watching my YouTube channel, it's probably no surprise that these two origins products have made their way into a blog post. I've used them in multiple videos, each time raving about how much I love them. I've also been recommending them on the beauty chats on twitter, so if you follow me there, chances are you've heard me mention these!

So what's so good about them? I'll start with the Origins Ginzing eye cream. This is a little gem, and I use it in the mornings to wake up tired eyes. I have to get up early monday - friday, which is definitely not one of my favourite things to do, and I usually have some form of puffy eyes or dark circles! This eye cream somehow manages to get rid of all that, and leaves my under eye area feeling moisturised and awake. The other thing I love is that it makes the perfect base for concealer. As it's so hydrating, the concealer applies beautifully, and I get a finish which makes my skin look healthy and radiant. It is expensive, but I know that I'll just have to repurchase it when this one runs out!

Onto the Origins Vitazing moisturiser, this is a tinted moisturiser, which isn't something I've used much of. I find a lot of moisturisers can leave my skin looking and feeling greasy, and making my foundation loose about half of its longevity. This moisturiser doesn't have any effect on that, and just leaves my skin with the perfect healthy glow, and a great base for foundation or BB cream. I've used it every single day since I got it, and am so obsessed with it now! Again, it's not cheap, but I know that I'll definitely be repurchasing it, as I haven't found anything this good!

Another thing to mention perhaps is that I have sensitive  combination skin, with both oily and dry patches, and neither of these products have caused any skin irritations or break outs.

Thumbs up from me!

Benefit Watts Up!

You might remember me mentioning the Benefit Watts Up highlighter when I bought it way back in July. Purchasing the Charlotte Tilbury film star bronze and glow at the same time meant that this little gem never got opened, until a few weeks ago, when I remembered I still hadn't tried it.
Well, I tried it once, and the rest is history. I love this thing! I'm not normally a huge fan of cream products, but this one is great. It applies easily over foundation (and powder), looks beautiful on the skin, and lasts all day! I'm so impressed with it that I just had to tell you all about it.
The packaging is beautiful too. Benefit packaging is a bit hit and miss for me. I like it usually, but the cardboard packaging gets messy so quickly. This is great as it's not cardboard! The product is in a twist up stick formula too, which I find way easier to use (and keep clean!) than a cream highlighter compact. There is a little sponge on the other end of the product, which I haven't used, as personally, I think this highlighter blends beautifully with fingers.
I know I'll be loving this product even more in Summer, as it's perfect for a bronzy glow too, as it's gold-tinted.
It's not cheap, but I would really recommend it!

Laura Mercier Artist's Palette for Eyes and Cheeks

I've kind of neglected blogging recently, as I've been really enjoying making videos, but I want to get back into doing a few 'traditional blog posts' and I thought I'd start with the Laura Mercier palette for eyes and cheeks. If you've been watching my YouTube videos, you will have seen that I showed this palette in my boxing day haul, and used it in my Chatty makeup tutorial which I uploaded yesterday. It's sadly not available online anymore, but I couldn't resist not sharing it with you as it's so beautiful.
It contains 8 eyeshadows and one cheek shade, which is a kind of blush/bronzer hybrid called Rosegold shimmer. It's absolutely beautiful. I've been using it as a blush and I love the look it gives. I can see this being a beautiful highlight for darker skin tones too. It's a little too shimmery to use for contour, but I think it's lovely as a bronzer or blush.
The eyeshadows are really nice too. I really can't fault Laura Mercier products at all, everything I've tried I've loved! The pigmentation is really good, they apply nicely, blend well, and have good longevity. I've used the nude/pink tones more than the others, as you all know, I like the neutrals! However, I am looking forward to being a bit experimental with the green and navy. I don't use much coloured eyeshadow at all, but I think these two are subtle enough that I wouldn't feel scared of using.
If you can find this palette anywhere, I'd recommend picking it up, and if not, I'd recommend looking at a Laura Mercier counter! Hope you're all having a lovely day!
I'm also trying out a new schedule for videos and blog posts which is:
Sunday & Thursday: New videos
Tuesday & Saturday : Blog posts
I'm going to try my best to stick to it, but if I get more time, there might be a few bonus posts!! Equally if I get less time, there might be a post less or something! But I'll try my best!

Current Reads | Alexa Chung & Choupette

It's not often I blog about books, because it's not often that I read them (or finish them at least). However, I've really enjoyed 'reading' two books in particular over the Christmas holidays. Both are what you might call 'Coffee table books' that you can pick up and put down at any time.
Alexa's book is a collection of photographs, anecdotes from her life, and her idols, style tips and thoughts on various topics. It's a bit of a strange book really. Not an autobiography, not a style journal, in fact there are very few photos of Alexa herself. I think it's an interesting book, and has been an interesting read. It's a book I know I'll continue to pick up and flick through. The book isn't really in any sort of order, which I quite like actually. If you prefer more of a novel, you might not like this, but if you're more of a magazine fan, I think you'll like this, or if you just like Alexa Chung (who doesn't?).
Choupette | The Private Life of a High Flying Fashion Cat, is a book about Karl Lagerfeld's cat, Choupette. You may already know that I've long been a fan of Karl Lagerfeld, and of course, I'm an animal and fashion lover, so this book is perfect for me. If you do have a cat, there are some recipes for fancy cat meals, which might be useful to you. The book also has some beautiful photography (by Karl himself) and some fun quotes and anecdotes about Choupette and some other cats and their owners. It's a really cute, interesting book. If you're a fan of fashion, cats or Karl, I'm sure you'll like this one.
Hope you've all had a lovely festive period, it's gone far too quickly if you ask me!
