Vlogmas 2014 day 12 | Graduation day

Today's vlogmas video!

I'll be posting some pictures of my Graduation soon, but here's my vlog of the day!

Hope you enjoy! xx

The Missguided fluffy co-ord

Office boots (from outlet)

You might have already seen this co-ord in my Missguided haul video, which I uploaded a couple of weeks ago. That's actually when I wore this outfit, two sundays ago, but I've only just got around to uploading it! It's all still in stock though!
I've been wanting to try a co-ord for a while now, but was always worried that they wouldn't suit me, or would be too short, as I'm quite tall and find a lot of skirts and crop tops are way too short on me. I was so pleasantly surprised by this knitted co-ord from Missguided. It's really soft and fluffy, fits perfectly, and is cosy and warm. I also really like the items separately, which will mean I can get more wear out of it!
For sizing, I sized up in the jumper to get it a little more oversized (and less cropped) but that's just my preference. I've also picked up another misguided co-ord that already has an oversized jumper (will show you that one soon).
My boots are from the Office outlet in Manchester, and were a bargain at £25!
Apologies for my hair (and the roots) I'm finally getting my hair done this week! xx

#MAAfterDark Manchester Arndale After Dark Blogger Event

Chatting to the lovely Victoria!

Getting my hair done by the lovely Bethany (mid conversation about how thick my hair is!)

Me & the gorgeous Victoria!

With Jen!

With Irena and Emma

CLICK HERE  to visit my Youtube channel and subscribe for more blogs!

Last Thursday I had the pleasure of attending the Manchester Arndale After Dark Party. I had such an amazing night, and met so many lovely bloggers, including the fabulous Victoria from Inthefrow, who is absolutely lovely! I also had my hair and makeup done by a  very talented hairstylist and makeup artist, and my hair has never looked so good! I'm writing this now on Sunday, and my hair is still curled!!
I also got the chance to choose a perfect party dress & outfit from Evans! And I chose this dress from Lovedrobe, and this gorgeous velvet jacket. The dress has amazing embroidered gold detailing, and a tulle skirt - very Carrie Bradshaw esque! I really love the shape of this dress, as I always find skater dresses are so flattering on my hourglass shape. I accessorised with tights (mainly because I had a big bruise on my leg!), an ASOS clutch, and my Door knock 45 Louboutins. I was really pleased with my look, and I think it's very timeless - something you could definitely wear again and again! I know already I'll get so much use out of the jacket, as it will go so nicely with my graduation dress too! My dress sadly didn't make the top 10, but you can vote for your favourite in the top 10 to be in with a chance of winning the dress!
I think to be honest, all the dresses were gorgeous, and everyone looked amazing (as you can see in the top picture). The judges had a difficult task choosing a top ten, I don't think I could have chosen a top ten! I had a fabulous evening, and it was amazing to be surrounded with so many lovely like-minded people. I can't wait to meet them all again (hopefully soon!)
And I couldn't not mention the fabulous Dominic from Dom n Ink who drew this amazing illustration of me. You can see the whole illustration from start to finish in my vlog! I'm so impressed with it, and it's now pride of place on my wall, so you'll probably be seeing it in videos soon! On the topic of that, I do hope you enjoyed my vlog of the event, as vlogmas videos will being tomorrow!
In the goody bag were some Mulled Wine truffles from Hotel Chocolat, which I can tell you now, are missing quite a few from the box! They're delicious!
So if you're looking for the perfect outfit for the party season, head to Manchester Arndale,as there's so much choice, you're bound to find something amazing! There's also loads of great shoe shops (Kurt Geiger, office, Dr Martens) so you can get everything you need all in one place!
I hope you enjoyed this post, I certainly had an amazing night, thank you again to everyone who made it such a fabulous evening! xx

*The dress and jacket were kindly gifted to me by Manchester Arndale. I was allocated Evans clothing, but the dress and jacket were of my own choosing. As always, all opinions are my own, and I would never recommend anything I didn't believe in. The photos are from LFJ PR and I have full permission to use them in this post.

Dr Marten Serena Boots review

You might have seen me mention these boots in one of my videos or seen them in an outfit post, but I thought that now I've had them for a couple of months, I'd do a proper review.
Dr Martens can be really uncomfortable at first, and I know many people have their ways of breaking them in, but I hate having sore feet, so that definitely didn't appeal to me! These Serena boots are lined with faux fur, and the leather on them is really soft. I've worn them quite a lot as I find they go with so many outfits, and they're honestly really comfortable.
I haven't had sore feet once whilst wearing these, and have had no blisters, cuts or anything like that. These have been really comfy since day one, and once you've worn them a couple of times they mould to your feet and become even more comfortable!
I'm really glad that I bought these as they've been absolutely amazing, and I know they'll be invaluable as the weather gets colder. So if you're looking for the perfect Dr Martens boots, but don't want the sore feet, I'd highly recommend these! (they also come in other colours too!)

Hope you've had a lovely week, I've been feeling ill which is why I haven't posted much, but I went to an exciting blogger event last night, and there'll be a vlog up on monday on my youtube channel, so I hope that you enjoy that! Also, if you didn't know already, I'm doing vlogmas this year, which I'm really looking forward to, and hope you all are too! xx

I am planning on doing some more exciting outfits soon, probably a Lookbook on myYouTube channel too!
Hope you're all having a great weekend so far! I've filmed a video today which is currently uploading, so I'm hoping that will go up tomorrow! xx

MEME Box review #2

You may have seen my October Favourites video, in which I unboxed this MEME box and gave a mini review of it. Anyway, if you haven't seen it just click here.

As with last time's box, I'm really impressed with the amount of products included in this box. There's a good variety of makeup and skincare, and as with most korean products, the packaging is lovely.
There are two base products in the box: a strobe cream and a BB cream. Both are full size, and I'm actually really impressed with them. I like to use BB creams and lighter foundations when I'm having good skin days, and the moisturising formula of this one is great for the current cold weather!

The two eye products are a shadow stick (similar to the By Terry Ombre Blackstar) and a Duo eyeshadow and liner. I love the idea of the shadow stick, and it's really pretty, but I haven't worn it much as I don't really reach for green that often, that said, if you do like a brighter eyeshadow, this is lovely. I think I'll get more use out of it when I'm feeling brave! The duo however is lovely, this is a peach shadow and bronze eyeliner, which is much more me! It's also super handy to keep in your makeup bag as it takes up hardly any room!

I really like the lipgloss, it smells lovely and is a great colour for everyday for me. I really like experimenting with lip products, so I always like to see them in beauty boxes.

Last but not least is the eyebrow stain. I haven't got around to using this yet, as I'm worried it'll be a bit dark for me, so want to take my time to apply it, which recently I haven't had! (I've been super busy!)

If you want to get the product names, and see them a bit more, please check out the video link above.

Finally, if you want to get anything from MEME box, here is a coupon code for you:

MEME Box coupon code: QKF0OG $5.00 off any order over $30.00
valid from 1/11/14 to 30/11/14

Hope you're all having a good week so far! Speak to you soon! xx

I'm not sponsored by MEME box, but they did send me the box for free to review. I'm not paid to give them good reviews or to feature them. I'd never recommend anything I didn't like.

The Zara Hoody.

Zara hoody (not online but current in store)
Topshop Joni jeans
Dr Marten Serena boots in black
M&S Faux leather biker Jacket

This outfit is from the weekend before last, but I've only just got around to uploading it! You will have already seen the hoody, jacket and boots in my Autumn fashion video, but just in case I'll pop it at the bottom of this post for you to see!
I'm obsessed with this Zara hoody (as are a few other Youtubers I think!). It's just so comfortable and easy to wear! The fabric is really soft too. I'm also wearing Joni jeans as I usually do, I really need to experiment a bit more don't I!?
On my feet are my Dr Marten Serena boots which I also mentioned in my October favourites (last post on here and latest video - yes another plug for my Youtube channel, I'm sorry!) I really love them and they're perfect for this season. Also, I haven't had any blisters or sore feet from these boots, they're really comfy!
I'm also wearing my M&S faux leather jacket which is perfect for the transitional weather and layering. I think a black leather/faux leather jacket is a real wardrobe staple! (It's currently out of stock but I've still linked it above for you in case you want it and it comes back in stock!)

Hope you're all having a lovely day!

The Tom Ford Lipstick

Tom Ford lipsticks have been on my Beauty wish list for the longest time now. I hear lots of great reviews of them, but at £37 each, they're certainly an investment. I was torn between a few shades, and after a bit of a stressful day on a uni trip I popped into the Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar in Liverpool on the way back to the train. I'm obsessed with Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino perfume at the moment, so I mainly went to the counter for a spritz of that, although I was soon drawn in by the makeup.

I decided I'd treat myself to a lipstick, and finally settled on the shade Nude Vanille. I wear mainly nude lipsticks, and I wanted to make sure I'd get my moneys worth out of such a luxury lipstick. Nude Vanille is somewhere in-between MAC's Creme De Nude, and a Pink-nude. I've worn it quite a lot already, and if you'd like to see it on, click here to see my latest video where I apply it.

The scent of these lipsticks is a little bit 'old-fashioned'. If you're after a sweet scent, or prefer an un-fragranced option, then I'd recommend trying these on before buying them. I personally don't mind the scent, as I do love the finish and colour of the lipstick.

I was worried that the colour might wear a bit patchy, but I haven't had any problems at all.

£37 is a ridiculous amount to spend on a lipstick, but I'm working hard and I decided that I deserved a treat!

Have you tried the Tom Ford lipsticks? x

Liz Earle Limited Edition Orange Flower & Chamomile Hot Cloth Cleanser

I've been using the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish for years now, and I always go back to it even when I try other things! I picked up this limited edition Orange Flower and Chamomile scent a few months ago for the first time, and seeing as I've just purchased another 3 backups, I thought I'd better mention it!

The only difference I've found with this Cleanse & Polish is the scent, this one is slightly more scented and has a fresh scent, which I prefer to the original.  The cleanser itself works exactly the same, I just prefer the scent of this one.

The packaging is also slightly different, which I think makes a nice change to the original mint green packaging, and the flowers on the bottle make it a bit more exciting.

I wasn't sure about the scent at first, but it really grew on me as I used it. When I went back to my original version, I really didn't like it as much, which is why I went and purchased some back ups. I don't know how 'limited edition' it is, but I presume it won't be around forever.

So if you didn't like the original scent, or are a loyal Cleanse and Polish user fancying a change, I'd highly recommend this version. It's also exactly the same price, and still comes with the muslin cloths.

I'm sure you all know about the Cleanse & Polish, as I think most bloggers have reviewed it at some point, but if not: it's an amazing cleanser that effectively cleanses the skin without stripping or irritating it. It's perfect for sensitive skin, and is great for acne prone skin too. My mum also uses it and loves it too! It's also quite affordable and has no 'bad' ingredients, and is generally a great cleanser. It also works really well with the clarisonic.

Hope you're all having a lovely day, if you didn't see it yesterday, be sure to watch my new video! xx

New video: Autumn Makeup

I finally have a new video for you! It's an Autumn Makeup video featuring some of my favourite products of the moment! It took me ages to film and edit, but I'm really pleased with how it turned out! I've also been having laptop problems which is why there hasn't been much happening over the last few days! Hopefully we should be okay now!
If you haven't already, please make my day and subscribe to my Youtube channel and give the video a thumbs up!
Hope you're all having a lovely week! xx

Mini Lush Haul | Festive edition

There are so many Lush hauls going up at the moment, but I didn't think my three little purchases warranted a video of their own! Fear not, I have lots of festive videos coming your way nearer the time, and no doubt there'll be a lush haul!

Anyway, I picked up three bath bombs. I love the Lush bath bombs and have just used up my last one from last year's boxing day spree (I'd highly recommend a lush boxing day shop- everything is half price and you can then have all the limited edition products all year round!)

The first bath bomb is the Melting Snowman, which I've used before. He smells lovely (not too sweet) and is quite a moisturising bath bomb. I love how cute he is, and his eyes and buttons are made of chocolate. It does melt in the bath, but don't taste it, it's mixed with soap (I've tried it) and doesn't taste as good as it looks and smells. I've linked him above so that you can see the 'proper' description. I'd highly recommend this one though, I always buy at least 2 every festive season!

I also picked up the Candy Mountain bubble bar. This smells like Snow Fairy (one of the best shower gels of all time!), so if you like your sweet treats and bubbles, you need this! It's also one of the cheaper bath bombs, and you can stretch it out and use it over 2-3 baths if you want to. (It's nice to have the whole thing as a treat though!) It also turns the water pink!

Last but not least is the Wizard Bubble bar, which is a Halloween bath bomb. He just looked so cute, and I wanted to try out a new bubble bar. If you didn't know already, my dog Noopy loves to play with the bubbles in the bath, which is why I usually go for bubble bars! He's a little more expensive than Candy Mountain, but he smells lovely, and I can't wait to use him. I love the design too!

The links above are to the Lush website, where you can see each bath bomb in action!
There's loads of amazing Halloween and Christmas products that I want to try, so I'm sure I'll be doing another Festive Lush haul soon!

Hope you're all having a lovely week so far! xx

Essentiel Elements Spa Treatment Collection

Essentiel Elements Spa Treatment Collection Travel Set*

I always love trying new products, and these Essentiel Elements Spa Treatment products are from Gilchrist & Soames. I've tried a few of their other products before in Birchboxes and have always really enjoyed them. Gilchrist & Soames are a bath, body and spa company with lots of different ranges and collections. I've recently been trying out this collection, and have been really impressed with the products.

First of all, the hair products. Now as you may already know, I hate washing my hair as it's so knotty and difficult to manage. I'm also not used to natural products, as they don't make much of a lather. When I used the shampoo and conditioner together my hair felt so clean and soft, and actually looked healthier. The scent is rosemary and peppermint and is really refreshing, although it's subtle (great for those of you who don't like heavy scents. The 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner is great if you want that '2nd day hair' straight away, or if you're short on time or feeling lazy! For me, as I have thick, knotty, bleached hair, I did still need to use a conditioner but I find that with all shampoos and 2-in-1 products. If my hair is feeling really dry, a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner is gentler than a shampoo too.

The body products are of the same scent, but I found them to be more intense. The shower gel was really lovely and didn't leave my sensitive skin feeling dry or irritated. The body lotion was also really nice, and wasn't too rich so was perfect for daytime use. For my dryer areas I'd still use a body butter or shea butter formula but as a general body-lotion I really liked this.

There are also two bars of shea butter soap. I normally hate soap as I find it so drying, but these shea butter ones are really nice. If you're travelling they'd be great as they're lovely to use and they're big enough to last quite a while.

If you're going on a trip anywhere, this set would be great as it has everything you'd need for hair and body, and all the products are TSA approved, so it's perfect for travel. I also think this set would make a great little stocking filler, and the subtle scent would appeal to pretty much anyone. It's also a really affordable way to try out the products before committing to the full-sized versions, as the set is only £10. (It would also make a great secret santa gift)

Hope you enjoyed this post, I do have a beauty haul video coming up as soon as it finishes processing, which includes this set and some other beauty bits, so make sure you're subscribed to my Youtube channel so you don't miss it! (I'm currently having laptop problems that's causing the upload delay!)

Hope you all have a lovely weekend! xx

*This set was sent to me for review, however I am not paid to give a good review and the link is not an affiliate link.

Current Beauty Favourites

I'm too late for a September favourites, so I thought I'd just do a quick Current Beauty favourites post to fill the gap! I've recently rediscovered a couple of things and been enjoying some new purchases so here they are:

Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita palette
I'll be honest I've not been wearing much eyeshadow at all recently, I just can't be bothered at 6am! When I have been wearing it though, I've been reaching for this palette more than anything else. It's just so beautiful and easy to work with. There's no fall-out from any of the shades either even the glitter which is really impressive. It works for day and night and I'm just obsessed with it!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude foundation
I picked this up in Boots a few weeks ago and have been using it everyday. It's a perfect medium-coverage foundation with amazing lasting power. It doesn't last 25 hours on me, but I find it lasts a good 10 or 12 with a bit of powder. It's a very natural finish, and I have the lightest shade which is a perfect match for me. I'd really recommend it and have been reaching for it much more than my usual high-end foundations recently.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer
I've used this before and repurchased it with the foundation as there was an offer on in Boots at the time. It's a great concealer and I find it to look much more natural than the collection lasting perfection one. It's really easy to apply and blend and it works really well with the foundation.

Vaseline Pink Champagne
I love the scent of this! It's not as moisturising as the NUXE Reve de miel which I usually use, but I've really been enjoying switching it up a bit recently. I bought this last year and it was limited edition but they'll probably re-release it or something similar this year. It's nice and moisturising and works well under lipgloss and things too.

Benefit They're Real liner
This is a little trial-size that I got in London when I purchased the mascara. I've only just recently opened it, so it's early days yet but it's just so easy to apply that it needed a mention! It's a gel liner in a pen-style applicator and is basically foolproof. If you're scared of eyeliner or just want something thats less faff and super quick and easy, I'd recommend trying this!

NARS Loose setting powder
I used to use this all the time with my NARS sheer glow foundation, which I haven't used in a little while, but it works so nicely with the Rimmel foundation. I just find it to be a really natural, undetectable power that just does a great job. It's a bit messy but I find the loose powder just blends a bit more evenly and looks more natural. It does come in a pressed version, but I haven't tried that one so I can't really compare it!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend so far, I'm just waiting for my video footage to import so that I can start editing the two hauls I have coming up for you this week! xx

Autumn Weekend Outfit

Topshop Denim jacket
Boohoo cut out top
Topshop Black Joni jeans
ALDO Boots
Louis Vuitton Speedy 30

There was a sneak peek of this outfit in my last Weekend post, but here is the full thing! I couldn't wait to wear this amazing denim jacket. As I said in my other post, I regretted not getting it last year, so I took advantage of the 20% student discount and treated myself! It's really cosy and warm and has been perfect for this very cold weather we're having at the moment! I've worn it to uni today and it was so snuggly and warm!

I'm also wearing the new Black Joni jeans! These are so much nicer than my old ones, they're a really true black (my others have faded to grey) but they're still the same amazing fit. I always go back to my Joni jeans as I haven't found anything as good! They're quite expensive but I find most stretchy jeans loose their elasticity, but these bounce back after every wear and so they always fit perfectly!

I've had these Aldo boots for a couple of months now, I bought them when I was in London using my £25 Aldo Elle gift card that I had. They're really comfortable and are so easy to style. They weren't cheap but the leather is super soft and they haven't hurt my feet at all. I think these will be this year's version of my worn-to-death ankle boots.

I'm carrying my Louis Vuitton bag which I haven't stopped using since I treated myself to it at Harrods when I was in London. I really love it and it's super practical. Louis Vuitton bags are such amazing quality too and you can really tell that in real life (not so much in these photos!)

Finally my top is from boohoo.com , it's such a bargain and is a nice change from a plain tee. I find it really wearable and just easy to style. I love the cut-out detail and the colour is really lovely too. You basically can't go wrong with it! It comes in a few other colours too.

My necklace is from Astrid & Miyu and it's the wishbone one I wear loads!

Hope you've all had a lovely day! Nearly weekend now guys-hope you have a lovely one! xx
