Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette.

Another Christmas Gift today - the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. I've owned the Naked Basics 2 palette for a while now, but still felt that I wanted to try the original, so I'm so glad I got this for Christmas. Even though I've been experimenting with silver and grey shades recently, neutrals are still very much my thing, and you can never have enough eyeshadow palettes right?

The palette has 6 shades - 1 shimmer and 5 matte. I'm wearing venus, wos, naked2 and faint in the photo above, along with my Gosh extreme liquid liner in bronze (from the press tent blogger review box), Charlotte Tilbury black liner (on tightline), essence bronze liner (on waterline), makeup forever mascara, and clinique bottom lash mascara. My lipstick is from Kiko, and the base routine is the same as last sunday's Silver Sparkle GRWM video.

All of the shades are really pigmented, blend easily and work together really well, just as you'd expect from Urban Decay - their eyeshadows are definitely one of the best on the market.

The Naked Basics palette is perfect for everyday looks, and because it's so small, it'd be good for travelling too. I also find the basics palettes really useful for mixing with other eyeshadows and palettes that I have.

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette

I finally caved and bought the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette. I already own 2 of the Naked palettes and the basics palette, but never tended to use the darker shades, so I didn't buy the smoky palette straight away as I didn't think I'd use it. Since I've changed my hair to grey, I've been trying out some more silver toned eyeshadows and have strayed slightly from my neutrals recently, so I thought I'd treat myself to the Naked Smoky palette.

I've been using it for a good few days now, and have already tried out most of the shades. I've really been enjoying the silvery blue shades, as well as my good old favourite neutrals (in the photo above I've used thirteen, combust, high, dirtysweet and radar) as well as my GOSH xtreme liquid eyeliner in bronze, which I got in my Press Tent Blogger Review box - and I really love it!

I think I overlooked this palette to be honest as it's such a beauty! The four shades on the right are all matte - perfect for everyday - I love using combust as a base shade. This palette literally has everything you'd need for a daytime or more intense look and has options for both cool and warm tones.

As always, the quality of shadows is amazing from Urban Decay, and I much prefer this packaging to any of the previous ones - I think it's so much nicer and more luxurious! The palette also comes with a dual ended eyeshadow brush (a blending end and a pencil brush end) which is really useful, and makes the palette great value. There were also some ideas/instructions included too.

I'm really loving this palette and can't believe I didn't buy it sooner! If you're looking for something to spend your Christmas money on, or the perfect eyeshadow palette for a NYE look, or just to treat yourself, I'd highly recommend the Naked Smoky!

Christmas Mess & Peanut Hottie

A rather delicious and festive post today! I got both of these food goodies in my Blogger Review box from The Press Tent event back in November, and finally got around to trying them out this week!

Peanut Hottie is a hot drink which works like a hot chocolate (powder that you add hot water to) and tastes absolutely delicious! I was worried it might taste a little strange or not very sweet but I really like it. It's somewhere between a hot chocolate and a nutty latte - and if you're a fan of peanut butter you'll definitely like this! It's only 83 calories per serving too!

These Hotel Chocolat Christmas Mess chocolates are also delicious (apologies if this post is making you hungry!). They're an eton mess flavoured chocolate with added cinnamon and spices, and are topped with cranberry and meringue pieces. If you're a fan of very sweet, cinnamon chocolates or eton mess then I'd definitely recommend trying these! Hotel Chocolat's christmas range is amazing too - they've got so many different chocolates and gift options. My christmas mess chocolates didn't last very long!

I hope you're all having a lovely Christmas - and if not, why not treat yourself to some hotel chocolat chocolates and a peanut hottie and watch a film or browse the sales online! x

*Both products were gifted to me via The Press Tent. Not a sponsored post.

The Press Tent Event 30/11/15

Last Monday I attended #thepresstentevent which was a lovely event held by The Press Tent in Manchester's Northern Quarter at Yard & Coop (a really nice fox-themed restaurant). I really enjoyed the event and had a great time catching up with blogger friends and meeting new ones!
There were lots of little brand stalls including Rock on RubyArtsynibsNickyrocketsLiquor 43, Depop, What Emma Did boutique and Jennifique beauty. Dom and Ink was also there, and he drew me another lovely illustration, and he also has a new collection with Rock on Ruby which is amazing so go and check it out! I picked up a few bits which will be appearing in videos and on the blog soon!
I also had my nails done in purple glitter shellac by Jennifique Beauty at the event and I absolutely love them! I also got a quote written in Calligraphy by artsynibs, and lots of free nibbles and sweets!
I had a great time at the event and it was great to see loads of brands that are usually online-only. Most of the brands were run by fellow bloggers too!
If you're a fellow blogger, I'd highly recommend signing up to The Press Tent as the event was really good, and the organisers were so lovely and helpful! They also gave me a code for a free UBER ride which was a great taxi service - I'd highly recommend them!
I also came away with a Blogger's review box, which I'll be unboxing on my Youtube channel tomorrow, although you can see a sneak peek in the picture above!
Big Thanks to The Press Tent for inviting me to the event!!
